Power BI / CAFM Officer
Job Purpose
The Power BI / CAFM Officer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering business intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions that transform data into actionable insights. The role covers the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and scorecards using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Crystal Reports.
The position also oversees data collection, validation, and analysis to ensure accuracy, consistency, and statistical efficiency across reporting outputs. It supports BI project execution while contributing to CAFM operations, empowering business units with reliable, timely, and insightful data to drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
BI Solution Development
Design and deliver dashboards, scorecards, and analytics using Power BI, Crystal Reports, SQL, and emerging tools.
Integrate AI-powered analytics for trend analysis, forecasting, and predictive insights.
Develop and maintain BI frameworks, cubes, and data models for scalable reporting.
Design intuitive, user-centric dashboards for cross-departmental decision-making.
Manage ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Data Management & Governance
Acquire, clean, and validate data from primary and secondary sources.
Implement systems and strategies to enhance reporting efficiency and quality.
Monitor and enforce data governance practices across BI platforms.
Test and validate dashboard logic and calculations for accuracy.
Maintain technical documentation and version control for BI assets.
Analytics & Insights
Conduct advanced data modeling and statistical analysis to generate insights.
Deliver timely reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, YTD) to support decision-making.
Identify patterns and trends in large datasets to improve performance and processes.
Security & Access Control
Manage BI platform access rights in line with company policies.
Ensure compliance with IT security, confidentiality, and data protection standards.
Support audits related to BI reporting, data usage, and access control.
Collaboration & Communication
Work with stakeholders to translate BI needs into technical solutions.
Document requirements, success criteria, and outcomes for analytics projects.
Present dashboards, reports, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
CAFM Support
Provide technical support for CAFM system operations.
Assist in issue resolution and reporting requests.
Collaborate with the Digital Transformation team to align CAFM with BI initiatives.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Master’s degree in Computer Applications.
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI).
Certification in Business Analysis (advantageous).
Work Experience:
4–6 years in Analytics and Business Intelligence (Microsoft stack: MSBI, Power BI, Excel).
2–3 years with Microsoft Dynamics 365 in IT, Finance, or Business roles.
Experience in data modelling, database design, data mining, and segmentation.
SQL database administration experience (advantageous).
Hands-on experience in Power BI (cloud and on-premises) with advanced DAX.
Experience in data lake/warehouse development with focus on auditability and lineage.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture and integration.
Proficiency in Power BI design, development, and publishing (cloud and on-premises).
Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, and ETL processes.
Knowledge of governance, auditability, and data lineage best practices.
Exposure to analytics techniques and scripting languages (Python/R preferred).
Microsoft certifications in Power BI, SQL, or Azure Data Engineering (advantageous).
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
Working knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
Expertise in Power BI report/dashboard development and DAX.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Effective time management and multitasking in dynamic environments.
