Facilities Engineer
Job Purpose
Support smooth operations of assigned facilities by resolving complex technical issues, managing on-site teams, ensuring high service standards, and assisting Facilities Managers with client reporting and budget compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Oversight
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and refine facility processes for efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop equipment specifications for new installations and projects.
Project & Quality Management
- Oversee technical and commercial aspects of projects.
- Create control systems ensuring service quality standards.
- Evaluate contractor performance; implement improvement plans.
Client & Emergency Response
- Act as first responder to client emergencies and requests.
- Present response plans to the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and service providers.
Team & Vendor Management
- Supervise in-house technical teams.
- Lead contractor and vendor coordination for ongoing services.
Organisational Relationships
- Internal: Cross-functional collaboration across all departments
- External: Clients, client representatives, and service providers
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Engineering degree (preferably with CFM certification)
- Licence: UAE driver’s licence
- Experience: 7+ years in facilities management with technical supervision, budget exposure, and client interface
