Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
Responsible for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the activities of the Facilities Services Department to ensure sustainable service delivery complying with all existing regulations regarding business unit activities while meeting annual business unit objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the Facilities Services Operations department to ensure departmental objectives are met, including amongst others, annual property/contract budgets.
- Manage team to ensure sustained performance by ensuring motivation via professional development, coaching, mentoring and performance orientation.
- Define department’s service strategy and manage internal and external resources to comply with company/Client commitments.
- Ensure Operations department activities are carried out to the required or exceeding Client’s technical requirements and following most demanding international quality standards in the field of practice.
- Maintain knowledge of the overall Facility Hard and Soft processes and operating practices in the GCC and internationally and assist the Operations team by providing knowledge of the prevailing codes of practice, regulations, and specifications at all times.
- Review, comment and decide on Facility Management Hard and Soft services solutions, recommendations on quality/ technical specifications.
- Provide the planning input for Facility Management services works, monitor and coordinate all Facility Services Operations issues with Third Party Services, contract and procurement team members.
- Identify and highlight problems in advance that might impact on the works.
- Monitor the performance of contractors / subcontractors with regards to Operations to ensure compliance with all standards and specifications.
- Responsible for managing Facilities Management Hard Services tenders, contract awarding drafting, contract rollout implementation, performance evaluations and contracts cancellation and or renewal.
- Will engage with suppliers at top management level to develop service partner relationships according to operations requirements, in conjunction with other departments.
- Develop units best practice procedures and apply company technology to support them.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.
Requirements:- Bachelor's Science in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental management.
- Minimum 10-15 years in Hotel Facilities Services delivery, 5 of which in management roles.
- Extensive knowledge of Facilities Services Industry
- Knowledge of local market suppliers for the aforementioned services
- Knowledge of writing Standard Operating Procedures
- Knowledge of implementing performance metrics
